Give Back to Our Nation’s Heroes Through Veterans Miracle Center!

During the week, MASH members and students wrote letters to soldiers which were delivered to the Veterans Miracle Center. Conveniently located off of Central Ave in Albany, Veterans Miracle Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Through donations, the organization allows veterans, active duty personnel, and their immediate families to receive daily life necessities at absolutely no cost. They also provide counseling and job-search assistance absolutely free of cost to veterans and their immediate family. According to Rosie, one member that frequently volunteers there, they are always open to volunteers and donations. They are currently in need of clothing, toiletries, household items, medical equipment, children's toys.

"They were very happy to accept our letters," said Amanda Navarra. "It felt really good giving back to the community."

"It may seem small, but it can have a big impact on someone. Taking a little time to write a sweet message can make a person's entire day," said Margaret Ritchie, Director of Community Service at MASH. "We look forward to delivering more letters to this organization and making an impact in our community," she added.
