Have Fun While Serving the Community at The BIG Event TOMORROW!

Come join us on Saturday, April 21, 2018 when thousands of UAlbany students, faculty and staff will come together across campus and throughout Albany for the BIG Event, a day of community service.

“We’re hoping for 100 percent participation from our campus community,” said Martha Asselin, Director of UAlbany’s Center for Leadership and Service, and the coordinator of the University’s inaugural BIG Event.

Students excited for The BIG Event.

"The Big Event hopes to bring people together and help students build awareness and their resumes, while strengthening our pride in our communities," said Asselin.

There will be service activities fit for every individual and their interests, including but not limited to:

  • American Red Cross' Blood Drive, CPR training, and Sound the Alarm fire safety program
  • Pine Hills Cleanup
  • The RED Bookshelf's #books2beats sessions
