Tuesday, November 28th, was all about the Victoria Secret Fashion Show viewing party organized by UAlbany's PINK reps. From 9 – 11 pm, hundreds of students gathered at UAlbany's lecture center to watch the show, play games, win prizes, and donate items to charity.
Thousands of dollars in prizes were given out along with 300 slices of pizza from DC's Pizza, while numerous donations were collected for the local charities. The pizza was definitely a favorite among the students, leaving the boxes completely empty by the end of the night.
"We are always happy to support students in our community with delicious pizza and put a smile on their faces," said Matt Ruth, owner of DC's Pizza. The pizzeria, located on Western Avenue in Albany, offers a wide selection of pizza, burgers, appetizers, and desserts, and wings, as well as catering for your next special occasion.
Throughout the event, students put their luck and skills to the challenge playing the "PINK pong" table & the Guess & Win boxes, with the goal of winning prizes. Kira Lopez, a sophomore at the university raved about the setup.
"It is great being a MASH member, and having you guys here feels so natural and fitting. All of us girls came here tonight to have fun, and having MASH involved, makes it 10 times better!"
The viewing party was a great success, topping last year's event by a wide margin. At the end of the night, students left satisfied and happy, full of PINK & MASH prizes.
We at MASH love connecting with on-campus organizations, vendors, and local non-profits. We recently joined forces with Albany Sports Business Organization (ASBO) & PINK UAlbany to raise canned goods and clothing items for the Capital City Rescue Mission and The Food Pantries. We want to connect with more groups in the future.
If your group is interested in connecting with us, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
